Tokyu Hands - Creative Lifestyle

As the name suggests, TOKYU HANDS department store has creative and useful goods.

I believe they have branches in Asia region, but unfortunately they are not in the US nor Europe.

Their products fits Japanese lifestyle, making "!" eureka ideas into the actual goods.

The previously introduced Potato Chip Holders was their product.

Luckily they have website in English, Chinese and Korean !

.....oops, but nothing is click-able except shop location ...

GILT GROUPE - Japan

GILT GROUPE is fairly new in Japan but quite popular in the US esp on east coast.

It is a luxury brand outlet online shopping site - Gucci, Prada, to Ed Hardy to many other brands at great price.

Nothing new, right? Brand, Outlet, and Online Shopping...etc etc.

Well, they are not quite the same because it is invitation basis only and turn over rate is one week ( one brand only sold for one week or less ) and most importantly, items are at great discounts. So they became quite succesful.

I saw a TV clip few years ago when GILT GROUPE just came to Japan - they had first class stylist actually walking into the warehouse of these luxury brand name stores and pick the last seasons or buy overstocked items at great price.

Another TV clip I saw was showing typical housewife sitting in front of PC to place order as soon as the brand goes on sale at 21:00 PM. Yes, lots of items are sold in few seconds !

They expanded from the initial fashion outlet line, they now have jewelry, lingere, housewares, some even restaurant tickets! Of course at amazing discounts.

Pocari Sweat, Aquarious, Dakara !

If you know what these are, you know that summer is here !

Pocari Sweat is a mild-tasting, relatively light, non-carbonated sweet beverage and is advertised as an "ion supply drink." So is Aquarious and Dakara, this time of the year, people buy them in a case to stock at home. It is great when you play sports, or hot summer. Kinda like Japanese version of Gatorade, but tastes better.

What many overseas people don't know that it comes in different form nowadays - not only traditional PET bottle in vaious sizes, but also comes in powdered form that you can dissolve in water or jelly form that you drink from squeezable bottle.
