FUKUBUKUO - Traditional Year End/ New Year Gift Bag

Fukubukuo - "Fuku" means "lucky" and "Bukuro" means "bag" is an year end/new year ritual in Japan, where all types of shops put together a bag full of their products.

What's so special about it?
Well, you will almost always get the best deal from the bag, like this one from famous Japanese maker MIZUNO, put one set of wind breaker, one set of jersey, one neck-warmer, one glove, and one socks for only 10,500 JPY (about 110 USD).

Men's Fukubukuro Set from MIZUNO (you can choose the size M, L, XL)

Customers are supposed to get a "luck" by receiving a great deal at the year end or new year. It is also a way for the makers or local stores to show their appreciation to the customers.

Almost ALL shops, clothing brands to even car makers, or local stores have FUKUBUKURO. And people here in Japan sometimes line up over night to buy the limited number of fukubukuro.

This is the time to shop in Japan !
